Frequently asked questions
In shortCost, space, power, throughput, staffing, lead time, branding, motion sickness, and the things we will not do.
Everything a planner asks on a first call, answered here instead. If something is missing, the form is at the bottom and we reply within five minutes during business hours.
How much does it cost to rent a racing simulator?
$5,479 for a half day and $5,919 for a full eight-hour service day, per rig, on our VR configuration, up to $13,719 for four days. Everything is included: delivery, setup, a staffed operator, teardown and insurance. Full pricing is published here.
How much space does a race simulator need?
For the VR configuration, 10 by 10 feet is the recommended allocation and 8 by 8 is the absolute minimum. The other configurations have their own footprints, which we publish per configuration rather than giving one number for the whole fleet.
What power do you need?
The VR rig needs one dedicated 120V 15A circuit with two duplex outlets at the rig. Heavier configurations draw more and we specify per rig in your event plan, because a load-in failure over power is the most avoidable problem in this category.
How many people can one simulator handle per hour?
We publish throughput as a measured range with the drivers named, not as a single number, because the honest answer depends on crowd type, session length, staffing and floor layout. Competitors publish one round number for an entire fleet. We are measuring ours per configuration and will publish the range with its method.
Do you staff the simulators?
Always. There is no version of this where equipment arrives and your team runs it. An unstaffed racing simulator produces a queue nobody manages and a leaderboard nobody resets.
How far in advance should we book?
Four weeks or more is comfortable. Three to four weeks adds $300 per staff member, two to three adds $600, and inside two weeks we do not take the booking at any price.
Do you travel?
Anywhere in the continental United States, with freight inside the quoted price rather than added afterwards. We do not operate outside the continental US.
Can you brand the simulators?
On-screen branding and a signage kit are included. Branded leaderboards start at $350, custom backdrops are $2,000 and you keep them, and cockpit wraps are quoted per build. In-game liveries depend on the title and its licensing, which we confirm per request.
Do racing simulators cause motion sickness?
Some people, sometimes, and the honest answer is that it varies by configuration. VR affects more people than screens. Motion affects fewer than most expect, because the platform moves with what you see rather than against it. Our operator watches for it and ends a session early rather than pushing through, which is the actual mitigation.
What race types can guests drive?
F1, NASCAR, GT, IndyCar, drift and rally, switchable in minutes at no extra cost. Compared here, including which suits a mixed-ability crowd.
Do you offer 6DOF full motion?
No, and we say so plainly. Six-axis platforms add cost and failure modes that do not improve a corporate activation. Three axes gives you pitch, roll and heave, which is the part guests actually feel.
Do you sell simulators?
No. We rent, deliver and run them. If you want to buy, a specialist retailer will serve you better.
Is there a minimum booking?
One rig for a half day, at $5,479. There is no stripped version below that, because what we would have to strip is the staffing and the insurance.
Can we run more than one simulator?
Yes, and it is usually the right answer above about 150 guests. The second rig costs less than the first because one crew and one freight movement cover both.
What happens if equipment fails during the event?
Our operator is at the rig for the entire event, which is most of the reason they are there. Common faults are fixed in minutes and we carry spares for the parts that fail.
